Hi,

Thanks for the response. I take my words back that a DBA is required to be onsite. What i meant was relatively it makes more sense that a DBA would be present onsite than a programmer.

In the current scenario also the DBA jobs are the last to go abroad. Its the programming jobs which take the first hit.

I also totally agree with you guys about database servers itself residing in another country like India and not only the DBA. I have accepted that outsourcing is a way of life and someday it might affect my job... actually it has affected my job. I am unable to justify my salary.

If everything is outsourced what will be left here.

Any suggestions
