Then there is something wrong where you are or how you are presenting yourself. The last time I looked for a gig it took me a day or two to line up a group of interviews ... two weeks to be sitting at a desk with a computer with ink on paper.

According to the recruiters I work with, and I keep a very good relationship with them, there are plenty of jobs. The lack of advertising for jobs is only an indication that they have plenty of resume's on their desk and don't need to incur the additional expense of advertising. Also, while rates have come back some ... Crystal Reports people out here are getting $40+ an hour. So no one with serious Oracle development or DBA experience is going to get less.

I've not seen your resume. But from my experience most resume's are trashed immediately ... because of the resume itself ... not the person. And yes I have even seen both 'Oracle' and 'PL/SQL' misspelled. That level of attention to detail doesn't warrant further consideration.
