Get yourself a Linux box and some free 8i and do a few installs,
crash the thing, recover using RMAN from disk a few times,
Read the manuals, get some scripts, go out pick up a contract or
two and NEVER NEVER take a pay cut. Always go at least 100%
more than you have now or the brotherhood of DBAs will have
depressed wages. All because of you.
