Also look for GetRight Shareware tool for windows. It allows you to pickup where you left off FTP'ing.
I've got a 26.4 connection (with my 28.8 modem), and am on my 262nd try. Seems that I get about 10 meg (if I'm lucky) before connection is dropped. Then I keep retrying until it get's started again.
About 2 meg to go, then I can boot Linux... :-)
