Body:
Unix is one of the most important operating systems in use today, perhaps even the most important. Most of the big Oracle databases are running on Unix and Oracle themselves are developing the RDBMS Server on Unix. This might changes as Windows NT and other operating systems matures, but fact remains, if one wants reliability and scalability, do it on Unix!
