Scott,

So:  if you run it interactively, it works.  If you run it through their own scheduler, it fails.  QED:  You have proven that it is a problem with their product, not with Oracle.

Suggestion:  Please contact the supervisor of that technical person, tell them that you're recommending to your own management to use a competitor's solution because Spirion is poorly supported.  If that doesn't result in a more helpful response, then it is justified to follow through and recommend another product.

As far as solving the problem, there are several dozen error messages that can be summarized as "/can't connect to database/", so can you share the Oracle error received?
