there is a pdf stating the differences between RHEL & OEL: http://www.oracle.com/technologies/linux/el4cert-ds.pdf

oracle essentially changed the version numbering (more numbers) and changed the artwork, but did patch some packages. these patches are released to the linux community. also up2date is set to connect to oracle's site (and not redhat's)

in version 4 update 7, the only difference between RH and Oracle is a kernel patch for bonding ethernet devices and an intel firmware update in kernel-utils.
