I think this is the classical issue with service quality of big and
"leading" hot-shot companies. They achieve a little profit after huge losses
and they think they are the reasons why customers exist and the service
quality goes down. Of course initially they don't even see that, because
they're so great. Afterwards they are amazed, how can customers turn Them
down, because they are... they! Then probably many innocent small timers
like salespeople or specialists are fired because bad results - but that
doesn't bring back any customers. After some to long time, when shareholders
get very restless, asses are kicked in (top) management and hopefully then
things start to go upwards again.
Or maybe this was just a lethally wrong decision by some procuring specialist... :)
