Sorry..
Windows 2000 and another point of info is we also put it into another domain and the error was that the service was looking for the pfile in the wrong location. ORADIM a new service was the solution but I'm wondering why this would happen to begin with.
TIA Jack

You haven't provide any information about your machine. Is it Windows or Unix?

Hi,
We ran a test and renamed the machine name of one of our database servers and as a result the database does not automatically startup anymore.
Anybody know a way around this?
TIA
Jack
