STARDATE reminds me of Starbase, which turned into Borland's InterBase...

Hmm, Oracle 10 and Star Trek mentioned in the same message...

Perhaps I should start the rumour that SYSDATE will be replaced by STARDATE in Oracle 10? What other rumours have people heard?
