I'm assuming you mean data corruption. One method is to export all the tables. This has the advantage that if corruption is spreading, you will have at least an earlier version to reload somewhere. If Oracle can't read some blocks, you will receive a message. ANALYZE TABLE table_name VALIDATE STRUCTURE CASCADE will check for corruption in both the base table and indexes.
