Hello Gurus:
We are in the process of changing over our IP addressing scheme to a private network behind a firewall. This meant that all out servers are going to get new IP addresses. I know that our TNSNames file has IP addresses in it that will have to be changed. What other places will I have to look to make sure everything still works when we switch? Is it possible (advisable) to replace the IP address with a DNS hostname?
We are running Oracle 7.3.4 on HP/UX and OAS 4.x on a Sun Enterprise 450
Thanks
JG
