Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> OiFS 1.1.6 install fails from dependencies
So, I installed 8.1.7 on my Tuke/SP1 box in order to test Oracle iFS. However, when I attempt to install iFS 1.1.6 (2-tier) in the same ORACLE_HOME as the 8.1.7 install, the Installer complains:
"Oracle iFS requires the Oracle 8.1.7 Server or Client and the Oracle HTTP Server. Please install these products before starting the Oracle iFS installation."
I've got a TAR logged, but I'm getting very newbie advice like "Did you follow the 5 pre-install tasks?".
Has anyone had this problem before? There's even an item in the Metalink iFS Forum from an Oracle employee asking if anyone got this to work yet.
TIA and I'll summarize,
