Did anybody succeed in configuring it to connect to a foreign data source on Red Hat Linux? If yes, what was the version? Oracle is shipping an ODBC driver that is incompatible with the driver manager delivered by Red Hat since the version 10.2.0.4. Googling yields hundreds of results and yet nothing is done. Does anybody know if that is a political decision? Open, yes, but not in such a way that people could actually use it? I opened my 2nd SR and still no resolution. I am starting to believe that ODBC gateway for anything other than Windows is just a marketing ploy, a bad one at that. In other words, I don't think that Oracle is interested in enabling people to use MySQL or PostgreSQL in tandem with Oracle. It only pisses me off that they don't tell me that and waste my time.
