Oracle is number one in the world of databases, for a very long time. Their licensing policies are not making them more popular and all it takes is a few big names, like CC, for the people to adopt new trend

I have never used DB2. I did use Postgres and MySQL and am involved in a project of transitioning one Oracle db to Postgres.
