Good advice from Mladen here ... certainly ask for contact information for a customer or two that are running oracle if oracle is your preference.
Personally I would not ask for a SQL Server reference unless that is a path that you really want to go down.
Take the time to do an install of the actual product somewhere and get it configured to an oracle database before you purchase it. If you have in house oracle expertise then get them involved looking at the type of calls and access made against oracle. Does it use bind variables ... etc. Received on Thu Apr 16 2009 - 09:22:20 CDT
