There's a lot more if you search in the metalink bug database. It's been around long enough that it should be more mature, but should isn't what is. I've been bitching about Oracle QA for a long time (at least since V6), and this is just one more major example. It also creates tech stack situations where they think an ASM bug which they can't duplicate, but it turns out there actually was a non-ASM bug (like 6977045 for example).
Then again, I _would_ ask this question of other vendors volume managers, as I've seen them screw up too. Ten years ago, anyways. Which is within the order of magnitude how far behind Oracle is on it's debugging.
