VAM SYSTEMS is a Business Consulting, IT Technology Solutions and
Services company with operations in UAE, Qatar, USA, Singapore &
India.
VAM SYSTEMS are currently looking for Application Support Analyst for
our UAE operations with the following skill set and terms and
conditions:
Skill Set required:
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Daily support activities for all the applications, as specified in
the support manual(s).
2. On-going monitoring of the applications throughout the day. 3. Respond to incidents logged by users through the Help Desk system and keeping the users up to date with the progress of issues. 4. Reporting of incident to vendor where applicable, including follow- up of issues. 5. Reporting of incident to other support areas in IT where applicable, including following up issues. 6. Inform the Head of Service Desk of production disruption issues, including issues encountered outside of normal working hours. 7. Keeping of records, including logging of incident reports, updating support logs, Help Desk calls. 8. Ability to work under pressure. 9. Ability to work in shifts. 10. Ability to work with minimal supervision. 11. Ensure that the support mobile is on at all time. 12. Escalate production issues immediately, if a fix can not be provided within 1 hour. 13. Enforce SLAs and OLAs. 14. Responsibility assigned by Head of Service Desk. Knowledge & Skills:
· Use of SQL (Sybase Transact-SQL and Oracle SQL Plus,), Ingres,
PowerBuilder, VB.
· Understanding of PLSQL, UNIX Shell Scripting.
· Database development experience in Oracle and or Sybase.
· Good knowledge of UNIX, VMS & NT.
· Good Business knowledge (Investment).
· Incident solving abilities.
· Good communication skills.
· Good customer service skills.
· Good analysis & troubleshooting skills.
· Forward thinker and proactive. Look for and implement effective
solutions.
· Multitasking. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
.
Work Experience:
· Minimum of 5 years experience in Application development & Support.
· Banking or Investment Sector experience.
Strong Technical & Analytical skills in Financial Applications, RDBMS.
Knowledge:
· Experience in supporting critical business application (preferable
in Investment sector).
· Strong users interaction
Experience in providing 1st level support for various applications.
Personal Attributes:
Forward thinker and proactive, Team Player, Highly motivated.
Terms and conditions:
Joining time frame: 2 weeks (maximum 4weeks)
