I guess you are referring to the delayed commits that LGWR synchronous archival may introduce. Since real-time apply makes use of this archival method, then in a way, yes, there is an overhead with realtime apply that Hikaru should be aware of. But this overhead is not directly caused by real-time apply since LGWR synchronous archival can be used with standard apply and delayed apply as well. Received on Thu Aug 30 2007 - 03:22:50 CDT
