problems with Mladen's dump2csv script

Is anyone out there using Mladen Gongala's dump2csv script?

I'm trying to dump out the data from a WE8ISO8859P1 9.0.1 database. When the table contains a non-us7ascii character the script dies with a "Combine error" message.

NLS_LANG environment variable is set to american_america.we8iso8859p1. I tried to play with different values of LANG variable (en_US, en_US.ISO-8859-1, it_IT.ISO-8859-1, nothing) but nothing changed.

Server platform is SUSE SLES7 and client platform is SUSE SLES9.
