That was a very good launch, without an actual product they were launching. It is this stage in product development which makes the least problems. Nobody will complain about performance or bugs while the product is supported on the marketing level, trouble usually starts when the product is installed.
This was an Oracle version of the "mission accomplished" banner. It shouldn't be misunderestimated, but it doesn't really mean anything.
