All of your experience with mysql and SQL Server won't get you more than a short distance into Oracle if you don't understand the fact that concepts, architecture, transactions, locking, even the word "database" mean something different.
Start with the concepts docs at http://tahiti.oracle.com and purchase a copy of any, and all, of Tom Kyte's books you can find.
