How would you delete the values returned by an sql query?

I don't know the names of the tables where the results are listed, but through a query, I can locate the exact results I would like deleted.

I tried Delete from queryname, or Delete * from queryname.

Didn't work, got an Oracle error.. Freeing statement, invalid table name
