Oracle Apps DBA - Johnson City NY or remote. Primary Role Title:Database Architect

Principal Duties and Essential Job Functions:
* Provide technical support for Oracle 9i and 10g database
environments, including implementation of new databases, testing and installation of DBMS upgrades, and project support from the database administration perspective.
* Assist in documenting database strategies and architectures.

• Monitor the performance of production systems and utilize appropriate tools to identify tuning requirements.
• Participate in the logical and physical database design and assist application developers in applying DBMS technology.
• Participate in the on-call 24 X 7 rotational support for the production database environment.
• Prior Programming experience in C, C++, Powerbuilder, Visual Basic or other programming language is a plus.
• Position is in Johnson City NY or remote.

Basic Qualifications:
* 4 yrs Oracle DBA on multiple instances (9i and 10g) running on Linux.

• 2 yrs Oracle 11i applications.
• 1 yr RAC.
• Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder
