Depending on the operating system, you may be satisfied with the Oracle Database 10g Release 2 Express Edition. (See http://otn.oracle.com)

If that doesn't work for you, then you will need to find machine with at least 512M RAM and 20GB free disk space. A P3_at_500MHz will be slow but usable, although 1GHz will be noticeably better. More memory makes the biggest difference, though.
