Take a look at all the RAC articles that Jeffrey Hunter has available on www.idevelopment.info ... complete setup and install documented tested and ready to play with.

One option is a "one machine" only true RAC 2 node configuration using vmware.

Another option is a three machine 2 node RAC setup with a 3rd linux box serving up iSCSI.
