There is the also the considerable benefit of posting to c.d.o.s on usenet which is that, because it is so widely subscribed to, the chances of bad advice (or worse the wrong answer) remaining unchallenged is slim. I think you're taking a far bigger risk taking advice from people on some less-populated forums (or is that fora?).
