Guy, this is kind of scary.

If your database is so small that you can write it to a 650MB CD-ROM, you can use RMAN to back it up in around 60 seconds.

I'd skip the CD idea. It's a really bad idea. You probably shouldn't mention it to anybody you work with, either.
