OK, how about naming what Application and sub-system you are talking about?

Include the version since Applications are known to change how some features work with new versions.

If this is not a database rdbms question you should probably be posting to the misc or tools newsgroups.

If this is a question about Oracle rdbms privileges please phrase it using official terminology as found in the Concepts manual: grant, revoke, system privilege, object privilege, etc....
