Shinya, the last 5 chapters or so of the DBA Administration manual for the Enterprise Edition versions 9.2 and 10g are devoted to the subject of distributed transactions between Oracle databases.

Oracle also provides access to performing DML against tables in non-Oracle databases via the generic connectivity feature or the Oracle Gateway product.
