Fair enough - unless the learning curve of the topic is so obscene that simple archival research will never suffice - can't think of such a topic, off the top of my head. Unless the available documentation sucks, that is.

I'm sure RAC is one of the more abstract topics in the Oracle world, but I'm sure that a person with documentation, access to the net, and their own infrastructure could make it work just fine; it'd likely just take longer that way, as there'll be no quick answer to the inevitable speedbumps along the way.

Being laughed at is a bit much, I agree - as it happens, I have a bit of a short fuse when it comes to 'impoliteness' on forums. On of my pet peeves. ;)
