But, but, but .... that is totally unfair.

The OP wants to upgrade the operating system. Use the latest and greatest operating system.

Why should they be forced to upgrade the software being used to run applications - like the database manager? They just want the operating system upgraded.

Oracle should be FORCED to keep their obsolete stuff up to date .... there aught to be a law.
