When we went from Old Machine (11) to new machine (11i) we had zero problems.
Pure imports (hundreds of files) for moving the databases (about 3 terabytes total), 15 sids.

When we did an in place test of upgrading and not moving the databases (test box) - horrible failure, we attempted for about 2 weeks to make it work before we simply gave up.

HP helped a great deal, to the point of sending up an engineer, but we had also just spent a few million with them. They were very helpful. Received on Thu Mar 09 2006 - 19:41:04 CST
