Ya know, Mr. Bakker - Tom Kyte might have had something sarcastic to
say, but he wouldn't half-ass his comments pretending to be a "senior"
dba - he would have something to offer, or at the very least he would
ask a question.
You have absolutely no idea of the process and why it's being run on a daily and monhtly basis (and I didn't even include the entire procedure - since my question was only concerning the output of sql including the bind variables). It's not a masterpiece of a procedure - I simply stated that "it works great" because it gets the job done reasonably well, and it's 10 times better than the original version I wrote that required repeating almost indentical sql statements through the many loops. This was my first attempt at dynamic sql and bind variables, and I am interested in refining the procedure to clean it up further.
I would appreciate any suggestions you might have, but if you're gonna showoff your "senior" title - next time try to back it up with something remotely beyond juvenile.
