You should be able to connect to both the 9i and 10g database using the
9i client.



And you should be able to create database links between 9i and 10g.



Since most bugs are version specific you might want to search metalink
for possible bugs.



But I would suspect that one of the following files sqlnet.ora,
listener.ora, and/or tnsnames.ora contains an invalid parameter.
