Hi - I want to natively compile my Java jars currently used in the Oracle JVM
on a windows 2003 server (i.e deployed using the loadjava command). The Oralce doco says it recommends using "Visual C" in the ncomp process.
Is this right? If so what version?
At the moment I'd have to install Visual C++ 2005 and set the compile settings
from C++ to C.

Has anyone seen any substantial benefit from compiling into native C from Java.
I'm not convinced the work to do this will pay off even though in theory it makes
sense to do it but I'd like to hear about any stories in practice.

Thanks

Luke
