you can't make it just go away...without finding the cause :-)

what did this new patch do? did it add a new table? since you don't have a deadlock issue, i am not going into that but its worth checking alert log and possibly trace files in user_dump_dest directory.

it may be a new table with some FK relationships. Does the patch create tables on the fly and then drop it? any dynamic SQL stuff? i don't know about .NET but you may want to really check what this patch does...
