Did you check to ensure that you have only one Oracle home defined? With Oracle 10 the installer may try to create a different home for each component you install. If you think there is more than one home (and you don't want this) uninstall the ODBC Driver and reinstall it, but be sure to select the Oracle Home that you used for your other client installation.
