I actually prefer top-posting in circumstances where the replies are posted 'below the line' of the entire original quotation, requiring me to have to scroll down to see the reply. I use the keyboard and not the mouse to read posts, and I will not typically not go to the mouse to read these types of replies, so they get skipped.

If we are going to insist on bottom posting, then I also think the corollary requirements should also be applied - that only the relevant text should be quoted in the reply, non-relevant sections should be snipped and marked as such, if more than multiple points are made in the reply, then the relevant replies should be interspersed with the sections of the quotation being replied to, and the entire quotation/reply (or at least the first of the replies) should strive to be "above the line"
