        No. It's just that not all Universities are created equal.

        My alma mater taught theory. They are probably still annoying students in this manner this day.

        It's not the decade, it's the institution.

        Some CS students can get out of school not knowing what a regular expression is. Others will not be able to graduate before having written a parser of their own.
