hello,
my currently database is 50 gb (win nt) and the file location is :
dbf in drive g and f
(indexes seperate from tables and i know it's not contribute to
performance.
redo logs in drive g
muliplex redo logs on g drive
control file on f,g,h drives.
archive logs on h drive
oracle software on f drive
drive f,g,h are mirrored
i need to plan the physical structure of the new computer which has:
c drive 36 GB mirror (system drive)
146GB disk mirror
3 X 72GB disk mirror
my plan is:
146 GB disk for archive and backup
2 X 72GB disks for dbf
1 X 72 GB disk for online redo logs
oracle software on system drive
control files multiplexed across 3 drives
i'm not sure if it's the best plan so i'm asking you .
thanks
zvika
