Yeah, I thought of that too, but it must be done from another box. not the database server. Yeah, I know, but it's not my idea. What can you do. I was annoyed by the fact that I couldn't solve the problem in Perl. Tim is also dragging his feet and dreaming about the new and improved DBI. This feature has been available for more then 10 years and yet he's still cheating in DBD::Oracle. The way things are going, I don't believe that the new DBI will be any more useful then this one. If PHP makes array bind available before DBI (and it is in the CVS, as can be seen here, on their CVS web: http://cvs.php.net/cvs.php/pecl/oci8) I'll definitely make the switch.
