10g deployment or JSP and Servlets Separately

Is there a way to deploy JSPs and Servlets into the same web application but using separate .war files? The JSPs need to access the session variables created by the class files and the JSP also call some methods in some of the class files as well.

So some sort of hot deploy of only the jsp folder into the application root.

JSP and Servlets are going to be maintained independently so would like this separation.
