Install problem at linker stage

Hi,

I'm installing Oracle AS 10g on Redhat EL4, and when it comes to the linker stage it is failing with the following error :

Error in invoking target 'libso_install' of makefile '/u01/app/oracle/product/904_j2ee/reports/lib/ins_reports.mk'

When I look into the logs further I found the following message :

gcc: /u01/app/oracle/product/904_j2ee/lib/libclntsh.so: No such file or directory

When I try to compile the ins_reports.mk manually I get the same output.

Has anybody enoucountered this problem before?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
