Finally someone said it. Look I had a friend that worked for IBM many
decades ago. His group had to design a computer of some sort that would
have the same response time on a particular benchmark regardless of 1 or 30
people using the machine at the same time. Guess how they solved that
technical problem? (it is a silly requirement) They looked at how many
users and the fewer the users the more NOP instructions were run.
