I too am interested in using an existing LDAP server to authenticate users for my Oracle database. All I want my LDAP servers to do is authenticate users to help simplify password management. I plan on maintaining database users at the database level as required.

Please, no more links or references to OID. I don't want another LDAP server, I want to use an existing one. Has anyone had any success with this?
