Look for an implementation happening in the areas you are willing to work and attach yourself to the implementation team as a consultant. Probably need to go deep discount on your rate, justified by your need to learn.
The issue with an eBusiness DBA is that noone wants technical experts in eBusiness - until too late. 99% of the questions are in the functional side until the fan gets turned on high. Then they scream.
The conclusion is: get yourself adept functionally, one area at a time, while retaining your technical skills.
