You are on the right track. Unless disk and memory are really scarce, I would not use them in the equation. Do look at differing uptime requirements, backup/restore requirements, usage, etc. Ask what are the differences and are they enough to matter? Also look at upgrade/patching issues. If they are separate applications, you might need to patch/upgrade one while the other stays at a lower revision. Look into shared resources (processes, latches, shared pool, etc.). Can both of the applications conserve these resources or will one consume so many that it impacts the other application.
