Absolutely. But even you have, on a rare occassion, walked away from a desk for a second to get something out of a drawer leaving your SQL*Plus prompt available to a malicious attack.
It is one thing to fully protect a server in a server room with a multitude of safeguards. It is quite another thing to have to feel the need to have an armed guard watch your laptop. Why not just pop out the battery for a joke? Why not the hard disk for a prank?
I fully agree with you but this stunt crossed the line. And, as I said, if it happened on my watch there would be heck to pay no matter how goofy the intent.
