Remember that UNDO_RETENTION is not an absolute. If the transaction
needs space to complete, it will steal unexpired extents if it needs. A
higher UNDO_RETENTION setting may have no impact whatsoever.



In the alert log, you should find the exact statement that received the
ORA-01555. Work from that point.
